Midlands-based Adonis Construction – specialist in the automotive industry - is helping drive forward £multi-million expansion plans by Bristol Street Motors (BSM), having just completed work on a £1.8million Ford dealership in Crewe – the first of two major projects it is currently undertaking for the dealership group.
Comprising a showroom, workshop and parts facility, the 15,000 sq ft scheme, which was designed by BSM’s group architect, Birmingham-based Walton Architectural and Interior Design Ltd, showcases latest new and used vehicles.
Work was completed on time and on budget and the dealership has already been nominated for two prestigious awards: AM Magazine’s 2007 Innovation in Property Award and The Mayor of Crewe award for Building Design of the Year, both of which will be decided later this month.
Neville Clements, managing director of Adonis Construction, is convinced that it was Adonis’ transparent approach to cost and delivery during the job, together with a commitment to quality service that helped it secure further work with Bristol Street Motors.
“We believe in being open and honest with our clients and it’s an approach that has helped us win significant repeat business over the years,” said Mr Clements.
“As well as being able to boast a wealth of experience in the motor trade sector, we have a strong, reliable team at our disposal and we aim to get on board early, so we can add genuine value to a project.”
It’s an approach that Adonis is also applying to its latest project with Bristol Street Motors in Stoke-on-Trent.
In partnership with the dealer group and Walton Architectural and Interior Design Ltd, Adonis is tasked with delivering a £2.7million Ford showroom.
The 30,000 sq ft new build dealership will combine a state-of-the-art showroom for new and used vehicles with a workshop, bodyshop and parts department. It is due to be completed in summer 2007.
“It’s a privilege to be working with a progressive company like Bristol Street Motors and we’re delighted to be part of their team,” said Mr Clements. “Over the years, we have developed a successful relationship with the group and it’s a relationship built on trust and an ability to meet their needs. Our team is committed to delivering cutting edge dealerships that will be genuine assets to the Bristol Street portfolio.”
Paul Williams, chief executive officer of Bristol Street Group said: “The work completed by Adonis Construction and Walton Architectural and Interior Design Ltd on our Crewe development was truly exceptional.
“Our Managing Director for the Crewe dealership was full of praise for what Adonis achieved during the period of the build which is rare in this day and age. It really was a privilege to work with them.”
With its headquarters in the Black Country, Adonis Construction is recognised as one of the UK’s leading names in terms of dealership design and build.
Over half of its £40million turnover comes from the automotive industry and the company also specialises in education, emergency services, healthcare, local authority and commercial projects. For further information on Adonis visit www.adonisconstruction.co.uk or call 01384 298989.
