CUMBERLAND MEWS 80 PER CENT SOLD
10.07.06
A flagship development on the site of one of Broseley’s most famous landmarks, the former Cumberland Hotel in Queen Street, is now 80 per cent sold by developer Adonis Homes.
Eight of the ten character properties available at Cumberland Mews, a sympathetic conversion of the Grade II listed hotel, have been bought.
“We’ve had a fantastic response in recent weeks and the scheme has proved very popular with house hunters looking for something a little bit out of the ordinary,” said Neville Clements, managing director of Adonis Homes.
“Prospective buyers need to move quickly if they want to purchase their own slice of Shropshire history and we’re confident it won’t be long before the scheme is fully sold.”
Offering a 21st century take on village life, Cumberland Mews combines period elegance with contemporary style.
The landmark Victorian building has been cleverly converted into five aspirational homes, all of which include original features such as marble fire surrounds, original tiled floors and high-corniced ceilings.
Complementing this, five brand new two-bedroom mews-style cottages have been built in the grounds of the former hotel and all properties have their own garden and/or courtyard, together with dedicated parking.
Anyone interested in viewing the two remaining homes: (a two-bedroom cottage priced at £152,500 and a two-bedroom detached conversion of a former outbuilding priced at £245,000)
